It is common to find some nice and quality bargain at a thrift store or your local Goodwill. There are Youtube videos and blogs where people have found vintage designer bags, wallets, and belts at their local thrift stores. I happened to be one of those lucky people. I found my first authentic Louis Vuitton bag on a Thursdays November afternoon at my local thrift store.
I went to my local thrift store to see if I can find any gems. As I looked through the handbag aisle, I saw a potential gem. I saw a Louis Vuitton bag. I examined the bag, checked for the serial number, monogram, stitching pattern, and dust bag. Every category checked off to me. Before I purchased it, I asked the store manager if the bag was authentic, and she stated: ''she doesn't know if it is authentic because everything they get receives is provided by a nonprofit charity organization''. I went ahead and decided to purchase the bag. When I got home, I inspected the bag and found out it was a Monogram Vavin PM made in France ( SR) in the 12th week of 2001.
Throughout the week, I send pictures of the bag to varies authentication websites and getting it inspected at a local Louis Vuitton store. Results indicated the handbag was an authentic Louis Vuitton bag.
All and all, I am here to say that it is possible to find authentic designer bags at your local thrift store because people are always cleaning out their closet!
